Athletes who are also students have a great deal of responsibility. The rigor of athletic training and performance must be balanced by studying hard and maintaining the academic standards that are required for successful recruitment by top schools. It requires a great deal of commitment and focus. Ticket 2 Greatness has developed this page of resources to help you stay focused and to provide you with the tools you need to be academically competitive in the recruitment process.

EKNOWLEDGE

Ticket 2 Greatness has partnered with eKnowledge, an online resource that offers study materials designed to help you prepare for ACT/SAT tests. The site also provides a free sample of these tests.
Students all over the world use the interactive PowerPrep and FlexPrep Programs to help them get into their colleges of choice.
There is one time charge of $17.55 (per standard program) for the cost of materials, support and shipping. Each SAT or ACT PowerPrep™ Program has a one-year license (from the day the product is shipped). The DVD may be renewed for an additional twelve months at the same donation rate.

National Center for Education Statistics

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is a federal entity that collects and analyzes data related to education in the United States and other nations.
One of the most helpful features of NCES is the College Navigator, a searchable database that will help you find colleges that meet your personal criteria. You are able to sort colleges according to location, academic program, degrees offered, tuition fees, typical SAT and ACT scores of successful applicants and whether the college has a varsity sports program. Your search can be further refined by additional search criteria, and you are then able to build a list of schools for a side-by-side comparison using the "My Favorites" option.
Federal Student Aid, Scholarships, and Grants
Federal Student Aid is a division of the U.S. Department of Education. It is the largest provider of financial aid for students in the nation and provides more than $150 billion in federal grants, work-study funding and loans.
On the site you will discover the different types of aid that are available, who is eligible for aid and what the application procedures are. In addition, if your aid is in the form of a loan, there are tips on how to manage your repayment.
Federal Student Aid also offers free assistance to students and parents throughout the whole financial aid process.
The College Board
The College Board is a not-for-profit membership organization that connects "students to college success and opportunity." With its national office in New York City, The College Board also has offices in Reston, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. along with six regional offices throughout the United States.
On the site you will find help with college planning, recruitment and admissions and financial aid. You will also find practice SAT and ACT tests along with advice on how to study for these tests and how to register for upcoming tests.
